As an Entrepreneur by birth and a seasoned corporate executive in both start-ups and blue-chip environments – I’ve worked locally and internationally in Corporate Business Development across industries for the last 20 years. I’ve founded many a business in my life time and have employed hundreds. I’ve had my fair share of wins & fails, but at the core of my soul I’m Passionate About People, and People Development.
I’m proudly South African, born in the heart of Apartheid as a Mixed Raced, Black. My story too is filled with struggles of combating, prejudices, racism and inequalities – wishes and big dreams – a landscape and reality which is still far too familiar to those living and born post apartheid.
I founded the Ed Bham Foundation Trust in 2010 as a vision of charity, good will and as my legacy project. Our mandate has since grown and pivoted to assist and address the severely impacted and economically marginalised South African population which has been blindsided and jeopardised by global economic events – that has further Increased Unemployment, Poverty and a lack of Opportunities for the Youth, as our Hope and Future of tomorrow.
The Ed Bham Foundation focuses on Vocational & Career Guidance and Work Readiness with the aim of Rolling Back Poverty & Inequality, by providing bolstered Life Skills training through community-based programmes. Our Community Development Programmes are designed to bridge the Gap between being Unemployed & Employed. Our hands-on approach, experience in business and personal mentorship programmes, paves the way with clarity, direction and an extra boost of confidence for any Newbie bracing the employment market. Our Youth Development Programme is centred around the support of the Individual. We triage each candidate with the aim of understanding their journey and actively participating in their Career & Life, as a holistic approach of support. Our programmes include: Vocational Guidance; Health & Wellness; Skills Training; Deployment Strategies; Career Counselling; Internships; Fellowships; Corporate Etiquette; Interview Skills; Resume Design; Recruitment and Placement services. We’ve partnered with various stakeholders including that of Schools, Colleges, Universities and Local Catchment Centres where we’ll drive Career & Employment Expo’s with Corporate South Africa. We confident that with our Multi-Dimensional Framework, Skills, Networks and Passion, paired with the support of our stakeholders we can transform the landscape, to improve the lives of individuals living in poverty and increase employment rates by creating a Work Ready Community.
